Bloomingdale's is one of the anchor stores, along with the new Whole Foods Market. Other stores where you can find goodies for your Chevy Chase apartments and yourself are Anthropologie, BCBG, Cole Haan, MAC, White House Black Market and Talbot's. Restaurants for every palate are here, with the Capital Grille, the Tasting Room wine bar, and Tynan Coffee and Tea. Parking is found in an underground parking garage located beneath the shopping center. When you've done your shopping and filled your belly, take a tour of the 19 historic homes in the city.
Chevy Chase Branch Library is part of the Montgomery County Public Library system. Located on Connecticut Ave., across the street from the exclusive Columbia Country Club, the library encompasses the best of both worlds with its cozy traditional feel and access to high technology. With a super fiction collection, comfy reading rooms for children and adults, it's a great place to get away from your Chevy Chase apartment, and still feel at home.
Transportation in to DC is easily accomplished by hopping on a train from Metro, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. With five lines traveling several directions, the Metro may be an excellent resource for your daily commute to the city from your Chevy Chase apartment. And when you really want to get away, the three nearby airports are Dulles International Airport, about 25 miles from the city, Ronald Reagan National Airport that is approximately 10 miles away, or the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI) Airport is located around 34 miles from the Town."
